Introducing Coltrane Douglas, the remarkable 18 year-old ROCK and JAZZ guitarist from the Windy City!  With a towering height of 6 feet and still growing, Coltrane's passion for music drives him to become the very best guitarist and musician he can be.

Despite his youth, Coltrane's talent has already led him to gain significant experience performing live. As a full-time student at the prestigious School of Rock in Chicago, he has graced various local venues and festivals with his extraordinary talent. He firmly believes that live performance is the ultimate test of a musician's skill, and he embraces each opportunity to connect with audiences through his heartfelt music.

His journey into the world of music began at a young age, where he fell in love with classic rock bands like Led Zeppelin, Frank Zappa, and Pink Floyd. These iconic bands heavily influenced his playing style and songwriting, providing a strong foundation for his musical development.

However, Coltrane's curiosity didn't stop there. As he honed his skills, he found himself drawn to jazz music, captivated by the works of legends like George Benson, Pat Martino and John McLaughlin,  Jazz's improvisational nature spoke to him, inspiring him to incorporate jazz elements into his own playing and pushing the boundaries of his creativity.

When he's not strumming his guitar on stage, Coltrane indulges in his passion for music by listening to diverse genres, delving into music theory and history through reading, and engaging in collaborations with other musicians. His thirst for knowledge and musical growth knows no bounds.
